Oh Baby Diaper Bag and Car Seat Cover

I have just finished a new Pattern called Oh Baby.  It is a matching Car Seat Cover and Diaper Bag.

This turned out great.  The girl version has a large applique flower on the front and the boy version has a rocket ship on it.  This pattern has been so fun to make and I am so excited to show it off.  a big thanks to my photographer Kayla Evans from Paisley Studios in Blackfoot Idaho .  I think that she did a great job, check you her work at www.paisleystudios.com.

Madi May Purse Pattern

I am so excited to finally have my new purse pattern Madi May completed.  It has been allot of work but I just Love the way that it turned out.

The featured fabric in this pattern is Bohemian Festival by Riley Blake.  I just love to work with their fabrics, they are high quality and the colors are great.  I dropped off everything at the printer this morning so that I can have this pattern ready for the big craft show that I am doing this weekend in Midway Utah.  I will have the patterns in stores shortly.

International Quilt Market

I am at International Quilt Market in Salt Lake City, Utah. It has been a crazy experience. It is so much fun to talk to people and share with them my love of sewing. I can't wait to see what comes of this big step that I have made.

My booth turned out great (if I do say so myself), it is bright, colorful, and displays my quilt nicely. I have had a great response so far and look forward to new things in the future.

Pick Me

Pick Me: The latest girl quilt pattern. I love the way this quilt turned out. It is bright and colorful and the scalloped edge to so fun and different. The fabric used for this quilt is Love Bird by Riley Blake. I just love to use their fabric, the colors are vibrant and beautiful and the quality is the best you can buy.

This pattern along with Gator Gabe will be ready to purchase in the next weeks few, so keep watching.

Gator Gabe

Gator Gabe: Pattern cover finally finished. I love the way this new cover turned out the picture were photographed by a great photographer from Blackfoot named Kayla Evans from Paisley Studios (check out her amazing website at www.paisleystudios.com). I am So excited to have pictures to show off.

I am in the process of getting ready for Spring Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. It is a big Step for me and I hope that I will be happy with the outcome (wish me luck).

Alligator Quilt

I am so excited I have just finished a new design. It is an Alligator quilt for little boys. The quilt turned out so great, I love the Finished product. I am always amazed at the process, that a drawing (that in my case doesn't look like much) can turn into a beautiful quilt. I should that pictures in the next few weeks, I will post them as soon as I can so be watching.

Bad at Blogging!

Obviously we are not the best at posting in our blog! We are going to try and do better in the future. We have had a busy but fun year, between taking a trip to Spring Quilt Market and gearing up for our big craft show, we have stayed busy. We only one craft show left this year and then we are going to put our energy into some new quilt designs! So stay tuned for some fun new patterns! We are really excited about the new Riley Blake fabrics so we will definately be using some of those!

New Patterns: Cruisin' and Maylee in Bloom

New Patterns: we are excited to release our 2 newest patterns. We hope that they we be a big hit. We are always asked why we don't have more boy patterns. So here is one, Cruisin' is designed in the new flannel by Riley Blake called Wheels. We also have another beautiful girl blanket called Maylee in Bloom designed in another new line of flannel by Riley Blake called Summer Song. We would like to thank Riley Blake for giving us the opportunity to work with there fabric, not only is it beautiful but it is great quality.

We hope you love these new patterns as much as we do. They will be available in a few days.

Return form Swiss Days

We just got back from a craft show at Swiss days. It was the biggest show we have ever been to. We tried to prepare the best we could but it was hard to imagine how many people they told us would be there. We got to the park at 7:30 am on Friday and form the minute we opened our booth we were busy. The crowds were crazy and the response to our stuff was fabulous. WE shared a booth with my sister Karlene Arehart (www.cabincovedesigns.blogspot.com) she is very talented and it was great to have this experience with her. We both sold allot of what we had made and our patterns did so very well. We came home pleased with the success that we had.
We want to say thank you to all of you who stopped by our booth- we handed over 500 business cards so we hope that you watch to see what is new and visit our etsy store. We wanted to take picture of our booth but I never had time to do it. We still have a 2 more craft shows scheduled for this year, one is Rupert in Oct. and one in Idaho Falls in Nov. But for now we will slow down for a couple of weeks.

Correction on the Laisy Daisy

Oops!!!! I have made a mistake on the Lazy Daisy Pattern. The Diagram that is inside of the pattern is incorrect. The Square that has 2&3 on it should be one square and it is fabric 2 only and the bottom rectangle is fabric 3. We will be posting the correct diagram on this site ASAP and we will be sending inserts to all of the stores that carry this pattern. I am so sorry for the mix up.

Swiss Days

Welcome to Sweet and Shabby Designs! We are excited to share our quilt patterns with you.

We have a lot going on right now. We are designing new pattern covers and getting ready for Swiss Days in Midway, UT. It is an annual event in Heber Valley that draws lot's of people ( we have been told 30,000-60,000!) We are sharing a booth with Hilary's sister Karlene who makes super cute stuff as well. We are very excited but nervous at the same time! The show is Sept. 4th-5th. Wish us luck!
